Basler pylon Driver Package
The internal architecture of the pylon driver package is based on GenICam Technology, which offers you easy access to the newest camera models and the latest features. Changes to an existing camera device in your application essentially become a plug-and-play process.
The pylon GigE Vision Performance Driver quickly separates incoming packets carrying image data from other traffi c on the network and makes the data available for use by your vision
application while requiring the lowest CPU resources. This driver can only be used with network cards that include specifi c Intel chipsets.
The pylon GigE Vision Filter driver supports all kinds of hardware, common GigE network cards, and GigE ports on your motherboard as well. The pylon IEEE 1394b driver gives you access to a well-established interface technology. The pylon Camera Link Confi guration driver offers a comfortable access to all camera parameters of Basler’s latest Camera Link families aviator, ace, and racer
The pylon Viewer offers you a convenient application for testing and evaluating Basler cameras. The pylon IP Confi guration tool helps you to set up multi-camera systems easily via local network boundaries. The pylon SDK supports any type of application development. The pylon package contains the following main modules. Each one can be individually selected/unselected during the installation process, preventing the installation of unneeded modules on your system.

The Basler A300f series of digital area scan cameras is designed for industrial users who require excellent image quality at either VGA or CCIR resolution. A standard FireWire interface simplifies system integration and gives you increased flexibility when changing cameras.
The A300f series combines the high image quality of Sony progressive scan CCD sensors with fast frame readout. At VGA resolution the A311f /fc achieves up to 73 fps. Basler’s design makes this camera appropriate for applications such as semiconductor and component inspection, manufacturing quality control, food and beverage inspection, microscopy and medical imaging, and many others.
Basler is a leading company in the push for standardizing the measurement and presentation of machine vision sensor and camera specifi cations. All measurements
done by Basler will be 100% compliant with EMVA standard 1288 (Standard for Measurement and Presentation of Specifi cations for Machine Vision Sensors and Cameras).
Basler has given this standard the strongest support. Basler helped to develop the unifi ed way used to measure, compute and present the specifi cation parameters for cameras and image sensors used in machine vision applications. The EMVA 1288 standard includes a well defi ned method for measuring most common noise sources. It also includes a mandatory and detailed description of the measurement setup, environmental conditions and test requirements.
